`Pint', `Gallon', `Ounce', `Pound' etc.

It will be illegal to use or mention traditional British
units of measurement from 1st Jan 2010.
Inches, feet, yards, miles,
pints, guards, gallons, ounces, pounds, stones and tons will be banned from
packaging, advertisements, instructions, magazines, books, catalogues, computer
systems, medical records, internal business processes and communications and the
rules of sports and games.
The pub pint may temporarilsy remain, with the
kind permission of the european commission.
This will happen under the
EU's Metrication Directive EC/80/181.
