I realise that it is now considered unfashionable at best, almost certainly politically incorrect and quite possibly racist and a danger to the planet, but I believe in remembering Christmas.
And so both Antoinette and I would like to wish all our readers a very happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
We have five beautifully made nativity scenes spread around in our home and so we are never far away from an appropriate seasonal reminder.
(I wonder if there is a rule, written or unwritten, defining the constituent parties for a nativity scene. All of ours contain the baby Jesus in a crib, his parents, three wise kings bearing gifts, an angel, a shepherd, a donkey, a lamb and either a cow or a camel.)
May your God be with you at this time.
And may your God remain with you throughout the coming year.
