Foundation Hospitals

Why does the Government want to introduce 'foundation hospitals'? What's the catch? (with this Government there is always a catch.)

Well, the catch is simple.

If Britain joins the euro, the European Central Bank has given instructions that the NHS will have to go (in order to control Government spending).

Foundation hospitals are simply part of the Government's preparation for joining the euro.
