MPs – A Bad Lot

The news that a former MP for the Scottish Nationalist Party has been jailed for embezzlement probably didn’t startle too many people.
But the fact that Natalie McGarry embezzled donations intended for a food bank probably disgusted even those who are accustomed to MPs being the lowest of the low.
It sometimes seems to me that most of our MPs have been in prison, are in prison or are headed for prison.
Can there be any other group of people in modern society which contains as many crooks, liars, thieves and charlatans as are contained among our professional politicians?
It’s not surprising our crooked MPs don’t take democracy seriously.
