Dear Doctor

Thank you for your invitation to make an appointment to visit the surgery to have a pneumococcal vaccination next week. I am afraid, however, that I am going to decline.

Let me explain why.

First, although the vaccine sounds as though it might protect me against pneumonia, it won’t. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, there is `no decrease in pneumonia incidence as a result of vaccination’.

Second, the pneumococcal vaccine is now believed to be the reason why all vaccinated children are carriers of methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). This leaves children vulnerable to pneumonia, myocarditis, middle ear infections, endocarditis, osteomyelitis and a host of other horrible disorders. The MRSA bug is virulent and widespread in hospitals and this is believed to be a result of the vaccination programme.

Third, according to leaked documents from the Belgian medicines agency, the risks of this vaccine now substantially outweigh any benefits. There were allegedly 22 deaths over a two year period.

Fourth, giving this vaccine to older people has been linked to 30 deaths and more than 3,300 reported side effects – including heart disorders and joint and muscle pain.

Fifth, a report by the Infectious Diseases Society of America has revealed that the presence of certain types of bacteria in patients with upper respiratory tract infections has increased markedly since pneumonia vaccines were introduced.

So, I hope you won’t feel offended if I say `No, thank you’ to your kind invitation.

Yours sincerely

Vernon Coleman
