We Must Take Germany Seriously

Germany is quite a nice country in some ways. It is has given us the black forest gateau, Wagner and the goosestep. It has produced lots of wood carvings, and without Germany no one would have ever thought of organising beer festivals.
But that’s not all Germany has produced.
Thanks to Adolf Hitler and his colleagues, Germany has also given us the European Union.
We tend to laugh at the Germans.
They lost two big wars and England’s ladies team could probably beat them at cricket.
And we smile at the earnest way they get up at 6.00 a.m. to put their towels on the best bits of the beach.
But the Germans aren’t going to be content with having the best sun loungers and the best spots under the beach umbrellas.
They want to take over Europe.
And that’s what the EU is for.
The intentions of the EU and Germany are now indistinguishable.
But that shouldn’t surprise us.
That was always the plan.
And unless the people of Europe rise up and fight for their independence, their democracy, their culture and their future, the Germans will win World War II and they will own Europe.
That was, after all, always Hitler’s plan.
