It Isn’t the weather which has changed – it’s the people
Dr Vernon Coleman
Those who are forever whinging about the changes in our weather should look back in history. There have always been freak weather conditions from time to time. In the UK, for example, there was 1947 when snow fell for 55 days in a row. All homes had to turn off their electricity between 9 am and 12 pm and between 2 pm and 4 pm. The streets were dark. There was no TV. When the snow melted there was severe flooding. And all this just after the war. And then there was 1963, which was even colder. Winds were recorded at up 88 knots. Roads and railways were blocked. Much of Britain remained under snow until early March. The temperature fell to minus 21 degrees centigrade. Lakes and rivers froze and did the sea. Milkmen delivered milk on skis, food was delivered by toboggan and children skated to school.
It isn’t the weather which has changed – it’s the resilience of the people and their capacity to cope with adversity. The science shows clearly that climate change is a myth; it’s a cult, a religion based on pseudoscience.
It isn’t climate change which we need to worry about; it’s people change.
