Paper Doctors
Dr Vernon Coleman MB ChB DSc FRSA
In 1977, I wrote a book called Paper Doctors. The premise was that medical researchers have produced so much research that doctors miss vital stuff. My conclusion was that all research should be stopped while we sorted out what we had. We drown in research discoveries and the really useful stuff is swamped.
Since then things have got worse.
Researchers do work that has been done a dozen times before.
And libraries are full of valuable, life-saving information that no one uses because no one knows it’s there.
I just thought you’d like to know so you can be cross about it too.
