The authorities are claiming that smart meters will help stop climate change.
This is absolute garbage.
There is no way that a smart meter will make any difference to the environment.
Making sure that your shoe laces are tied properly will do more to protect the environment than having a smart meter fitted.
If your shoe laces are properly tied you will be unlikely to trip up over them. And so you will be less likely to break a leg. This will save an ambulance leaving the ambulance station. And so fuel will not be burned unnecessarily.
