Wales Chooses More Poverty

The Welsh have put 50 mph limits on a number of their major roads. They are doing this because they say it will improve air quality.
Hmm.
That’s very debatable.
Many cars use up less petrol/diesel at speeds above 60 mph, so lowering the speed limit will ensure that more fuel is burnt.
And that will surely damage air quality.
Moreover, a reduction in the speed limit on major roads will lead to more delays, more traffic jams, more frustration, more stress, more ill health and a lowering in productivity.
All this in a country which is already poor and getting poorer.
Madness, utter madness.
