Are Mail Deliveries Ending Soon?

The boss of Canada Post has announced that he is planning to eliminate home deliveries so that citizens will be forced to walk to community mailboxes.
He is doing this, he says, because ‘seniors’ are telling him that they want to be active and to lead fuller lives. What a nice fellow.
(You, like me, might suspect that the decision has more to do with saving money and increasing profits.)
The boss of Canada Post forgets that he too will one day be old, frail and hoping for a heart-warming Christmas card from his chums at the Inland Revenue. And unable to walk two miles in the snow to collect the mail.
How long will it be before Royal Mail eliminates home deliveries in the UK?
One year? Two?
