Nearly every week Vernon Coleman receives letters from people asking him why he isn’t on the television, the radio or in the newspapers anymore. Some people even accuse Vernon Coleman of not caring enough to fight his corner if, for instance, there is a debate about prescription drug side effects or vivisection in the media - two of the things which Vernon Coleman has campaigned for fervently for nearly 30 years.

The truth of the matter is that Vernon Coleman does care (passionately so) and tries very hard to get his voice heard, but it’s becoming increasingly impossible as he has been banned from television and radio stations and most mainstream publications. Why? Because Vernon Coleman upsets the establishment – that’s why.

The drug companies, for example, don’t like Vernon Coleman informing people about the harm that prescription drugs can do. This would result in fewer people taking orthodox drugs, which would mean less profit for the drug companies. And the Government is certainly not going to like it as it would mean less tax for them. There’s an astonishing piece elsewhere on this Web site Freedom Of Speech Disappears...) which discusses how Vernon Coleman was banned from an NHS conference so that NHS employees could not hear his views about drug side effects.

Another issue that Vernon Coleman has campaigned about over the years is that meat causes cancer (see Eating Meat Is Bad For You for the reasons why). The meat industry certainly doesn’t like it as this means that people who know the truth are less likely to buy and eat meat. Less profit for the meat industry and less tax for the Government. Money before your health.

For years, Vernon Coleman has made many predictions using his intellect and common sense. And nearly every single one of his many predictions has proved to be accurate. For example, Vernon Coleman was the first doctor to warn his readers about: the dangers of mobile phones; the risk of mad cow disease affecting human patients; mad cow disease in sheep; the return of tuberculosis; the hazards of passive smoking; the health risks of flying; the addiction risk of tranquillisers; the link between power lines and cancer and much, much more.

Vernon Coleman warned about many of the above health hazards years before anyone else and, has even succeeded in changing government policy. Many of Vernon Coleman’s readers have benefited from his warnings over the years. That’s why I think it is scandalous and unforgivable that the media is increasingly suppressing Vernon Coleman.

Vernon Coleman is a compassionate human being who cares for people just as much as he cares for animals. No matter what the consequences are, Vernon Coleman is willing to stick his head up above the parapet to fight for truth and justice.

We need someone like Vernon Coleman on our side, as fewer and fewer people are willing to upset the establishment for the benefit of others.
